Georgia Tech Six Flags Night
Georgia Tech Six Flags Night is back and INTAGO is going!
Georgia Tech at Six Flags Night on September 10, 2010. INTAGO will be going as a group, and we will be carpooling from the Hablab. If you are a paid INTAGO member and going with us, INTAGO will subsidize $3 for your ticket. You can get your tickets one of the following two ways:
1. You can get it yourself. You can find more information about how to do so in from this website. If you get your own ticket, INTAGO will reimburse you $3 for your ticket at the event on Friday. If you are planning on inviting a few family members/friends that are non-INTAGO folks, this might be an easier option for you.
2. You can email Jon (at jyhuang at gatech dot edu) and we can get your ticket as part of the group. Since the tickets need to be picked at the door at Six Flags next week, it would be easier if we don’t all have to go up individually and pick up the ticket, but instead just have one person doing it. If you desire, please inform Jon before Monday (9/6) at noon, and you will need to make sure you give Amanda $10 for your ticket.
In either case, please note that INTAGO will be carpooling from the Hablab, so you don’t need to worry about the shuttle unless you really want to take it. We will meet at the Hablab at 5:15 on Friday for all those who want to carpool. Please also let Jon know if you are willing to drive.
We hope to see many of you there! Cheers!
Website: Revitalized
The INTAGO website is back! After a one-year hiatus, the INTAGO website is back and will serve as the main portal for all INTAGO activities. Welcome to the website and please check often!
Nominations
We would also like to let you know that we are currently taking nominations for INTAGO officers for next semester. Please email Jon with your nominations for President, Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary for Fall 09.
Once a nomination is made, Jon will contact each individual nominee to confirm that he or she will be running for the office. Each nominee will also be asked to provide a short summary of his/her goals, visions, and platform, and those will be posted on the INTAGO website.
We will be holding the the actual election in the next general meeting towards the middle of the month. Please note that only current INTAGO members (and who will be here in Fall 09) can be nominated and running for office, and that each person can only run for one office.
Please send us your nominations by no later than April 10! This is really important, so please take a little time to think about it and nominate!
We are also taking nominations for faculty and staff of the year award for SY08-09. Please also send Jon your nominations for both these awards, and with the nominations, please write a few lines about why you are nominating the person for the respective awards. Selections will be made based upon these nominations and we will present them at the end-of-the-year event later this month.
Thank you all!
